Platte Canyon Fire Protection District will be seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals interested in future seasonal, senior, and squad leader opportunities as wildland firefighters. Platte Canyon F.P.D is located in Bailey Colorado, approximately 40 miles Southwest of Denver on Highway 285. The anticipated hiring process will take place in March 2010. For further information and details on each available position please choose from the following below:

Basic requirements for all positions are as follows:

• Be at least 18 years of age by time of hire
• Possess a High School Diploma
• Possess a valid drivers license
• Drug-free policy
• NO FELONY CONVICTIONS
• Be able to pass arduous physical fitness test; pack test (45lb. pack for 3mile walk in 45 minutes or better), 1.5 mile run in 10:35 minutes, 45 sit-ups in 1 minute or less, 25 pushups in 1 minute or less, pull-ups based on body weight

Upon hiring, any candidate not meeting daily physical fitness expectations will be subject to dismissal!
